Policy Insight

As energy policy continues to evolve across federal, state, and local levels, our team brings deep regulatory and political experience to ensure clean energy works for everyone. At Callaway, we don’t just adapt to policy—we help shape it. Our involvement starts early, aligning project goals with emerging programs that prioritize reliability, sustainability, and community benefit. From day one, we focus on building policy-aligned projects that create long-term value for utilities, communities, and investors alike.

Landowner Engagement

Landowners are at the heart of every successful energy project. We conduct our business with land owners in a manner that reflects our values. For example, we know we are a guest on the landowners property, so we are respectful. We believe in private property rights. We believe landowners must have an attorney represent them in any negotiations, so we offer to pay legal bills. Good relations start with real conversations—on porches, at kitchen tables, and in community halls. Our team works with landowners who wantto host a project to ensure the project brings them wealth without disrupting their operations, upsetting their neighbors or  community.

Local Partnerships

Our early-stage process depends on trusted relationships with local leaders, farmers, business owners, and civic organizations. These relationships help us identify opportunities, understand community concerns, and build local coalitions that support responsible development. The insights we gain ensure our projects reflect local values, not just market opportunity.

Listen First

We begin by learning from those who know the land and community best — local leaders, landowners, and stakeholders. Understanding their goals and concerns helps shape a project that fits and endures.
